Our yogurt manufacturing partners make products derived from milk from cows raised using good animal husbandry, with access to the outdoors, and without hormones, sub-therapeutic antibiotics, or rBGH / rBST.

When you first open the can, you may get a hint of yogurt fragrance. This is totally normal. We start with the surplus liquid from yogurt straining. But it’s not yogurt. And it’s not creamy. It’s fizzy and lightly colored. All natural.

Superfrau’s main ingredient is fresh whey, which naturally contains several B Vitamins. B Vitamins are essential for regulating brain function, which influences our emotions. In our 12oz can, Superfrau contains 8% DV of Vitamin B6, 25% DV of Vitamin B12, and 40% DV of Riboflavin (B2).

Both fresh whey and whey protein powder are derived from the fermentation of milk during cheese and yogurt production. During production of cheese and yogurt, the milk is heated, a culture is added, and the milk then separates into curds and liquid whey during fermentation. The difference between fresh whey and whey protein powder is that whey protein powder is further processed. It is dried and concentrated to maximize the protein content. Superfrau recognizes the benefits of whey beyond protein. We do not dry and concentrate the whey. We rescue the liquid from the supply chain, where it may otherwise be wasted, and we upcycle it by infusing the liquid with unique flavors. Fresh, liquid whey contains a small amount of protein. The main benefits include: full spectrum electrolytes, B vitamins, and lactic acid (which is known to support your gut!).

Superfrau is pasteurized so it is safe to consume while pregnant. Any further questions should be directed to your primary care physician.

Yep! Superfrau uses a lactase enzyme to break up the lactose, thus making the whey virtually lactose-free. If you have a lactose intolerance, best to consult your physician before drinking Superfrau.
